Family Resources

Due to Julian's rural location, we help connect and provide students and families with resources they would struggle to access otherwise.

At Julian Pathways, Inc. we are always looking for opportunities to support those in our community. Whether it's assistance with Medi-Cal benefits, the need for additional food support, a new winter coat or just someone to count on, our staff is here to help!

Our partnerships with Feeding San Diego, the San Diego Food Bank, Health and Human Services Agency, plus other numerous local agencies, allow us the resources to fill most needs a family may have. We can provide students with new backpacks throughout the school year, families with young children can count on us for a pack of diapers to get them through the month and each year third graders are eligible for a free bike!

Students can participate in yearly dental or vision exams offered through mobile wellness checks on campus. They even get monthly lessons from UCSD Pediatric Residents thanks to a long-standing partnership with the UCSD PACCT program (Pediatricians and Community Collaborating Together).

During the summer break, students are able to have wonderful experiences at summer camp through a partnership with the local YMCA camps. Our partnership significantly reduces the camp registration fee to make it affordable for local families to have their children experience the magic of camp.

One of our biggest fundraisers is the Joy for Julian holiday gift program. Since the holidays can be particularly difficult financially for some families, we work diligently with local agencies and community members to provide food, gifts and necessities to bring families some extra joy.

We invite new families to attend the Welcome Breakfast, at 8 a.m., on the first day of school to meet our staff. Families that come in later in the year can get to know us anytime by making an appointment to speak to a Resource Coordinator or just stopping by. Our staff is also available for a meet & greet during the Pathways Wellness Fair which is held in conjunction with the school Open House in the spring.

We're proud to say that many families and individuals have been able to gain the assistance and guidance they need. If you or a family you know could use some assistance, please help us connect.

Contact Pathways at resources@julianpathways.org for information on how to participate in any of these programs.
